The Craft
Precision, presence, and a little theater
Ember & Elixer exists because most “mobile bars” are logistics companies with a bottle opener. This house is the opposite: one bartender formed in serious rooms, now pouring for people who want that standard in a home, a barn, or a reception that should feel like a secret.
- Bar Manager — Sons of Essex, Lower East Side, NYC
- Bar Manager — Chalk Point Kitchen
- Bar Manager — The Handy Liquor Bar
- Soho House — West Hollywood and Portland
- Bar Ambassador — Amber Lounge, Formula 1 Monaco
The rooms change. The pour does not.
Why private service, not another nightclub shift
After a quarter century in public houses — from the Lower East Side to the Côte d’Azur — the work that still matters is hospitality at human scale. A wedding toast. A fortieth birthday that should not feel like a catering contract. A client dinner where the drinks are as considered as the conversation.
Ember & Elixer is based in the Portland–Vancouver corridor and travels the Pacific Northwest by arrangement. The name keeps the house spelling Elixer — a brand, not a typo — because the pour is meant to feel slightly otherworldly, and still exact.
What you can expect
- A custom cocktail menu, not a laminated list of well drinks
- Setup that disappears into the room instead of announcing itself
- Service that reads the table: generous when it should be, quiet when it should be
- A single point of contact from first inquiry to last glass
