Questions before the first pour

Clear answers. No sales fog.

Do I provide the alcohol?

Either model works. Many hosts prefer dry hire — you supply the spirits, wine, and beer; Ember & Elixer designs the menu, brings tools, and pours. Full-service sourcing can be arranged where local rules allow.

Where do you work?

Portland, Oregon; Vancouver, Washington; and by arrangement the Willamette Valley and Columbia Gorge. See the service area.

How far in advance should I book?

Weddings are best booked months ahead. Private dinners can often be arranged with a few weeks’ notice. Peak Saturday dates go first.

How many guests can you serve?

Intimate dinners through mid-size receptions. Guest count determines hours and whether additional staff is recommended. Share a number with the inquiry.

Are you licensed and insured?

Licensing and insurance needs differ between Oregon and Washington and between venues. These are confirmed during planning so the host is never guessing on the day.

Do you serve non-alcoholic drinks?

Yes. Zero-proof pours are built with the same care as the classics — not an afterthought soda.
